The Madrid company Spika Tech has been selected as the winner of the most competitive global call in the world of SMEs, with only a 3% success rate, obtaining financing from the Accelerator of the European Innovation Council (EIC for its acronym in English) for a value close to 6 million euros.

Created in 2015 in Madrid, Spika Tech is a technology company at the service of health, with headquarters located at the Rey Juan Carlos University and supported by the Madri + d Foundation for Knowledge, which has among its hallmarks a clear commitment to research and innovation merging design and programming processes His VR-CARDIO project, focused on the development of an innovative mixed reality visualization system for cardiology equipment, has received a 2.5 million euro grant and 3.4 million euro investment for activities de-internationalization and scaling in the form of combined financing or blended finance to cover innovation activities and support investment for the effective deployment of the market.

At Spika Tech they have not been alone in this journey that began in early 2021. Through the madri + d Foundation they have been beneficiaries of the EIC Mentoring program, a global support service for Madrid participants in the European Innovation Council Accelerator (EIC) of the Horizon Europe program.
