At the same time as our trip to Las Vegas, we had a couple of events in Madrid. We had part of our team attending the European Researchers’ Night at the Madrid´s Circulo de Bellas Artes, and our colleague Roxana Aanei gave a presentation about PRAS at ROSCon Madrid 2023.
Within the European Researchers’ Night, researchers expertised in various fields, from biology to astronomy, can explain and showcase their work to the general public. Events are held both outdoors and indoors (museums, galleries, etc).
Madri+d organized one of them, in which several research teams were selected to explain their projects to visitors in a beautiful setting within the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. Spika Tech S.L. attended with both VR-Cardio and the PRAS robot. We are pleased to say it was a success, as both attendees and people from other teams tried our proposals and expresed how satisfied they were after trying them, along with the clarity and passion of our experts’ explanations.
We also want to highlight the work of the teams with whom we shared the space. In the video below, you can see a glimpse of the evening along with a tiny view of the other projects.
On the other hand, ROSCon Madrid is an event where experts in the field of robotic operating systems gather. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, from programming and simulation to computer vision and human-robot collaboration. Innovative applications in fields such as medicine, manufacturing, and space exploration were explored.
This situation gave us the opportunity for Roxana Aanei, a robotics engineer from our team, to give a talk about how the idea of PRAS originated and its state of development. The chosen venue was the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. We’ve included the video of the presentation below.
